Rain fills the tanks - rain create powdery mildew

We had some wonderful rain - the tanks were full in one go. Fantastic because our christmas guests showered constantly! Life on the farm is a lot different to city living, that's for sure. Though I know I could never live in a city, and respect people who can.
Unfortunately, all of the rain created powdery mildew on the zucchini leaves. Only one solution - plough them in.
Have some lovely crops nearly ready - yellow zucchini, golden squash and will plant more zucchini and start the snow peas. Snow Peas need 16 weeks before ready to eat. They need to be nurtured.
Because of the heat, some of the zucchini grew very large. We love these as we make zucchini subs (pizza using the zucchini instead of dough), Zucchini Slice,
Pickled Zucchini, Ratatouli.... The list is endless, the taste is devine.
Try it, you will have an amazing dish that is quick, looks amazing and feeds a small army.
Have an enoyable remainder of summer. Isn't it fantastic living in Australia.
Now I'm off to find some wwoofers.
Cheers all,

Heavy Rock Farm
