January, 2012.

What a wonderful Christmas we had. Our German helper, Carlotta, got to spend an Australian Farm Christmas.
The heat, the flies, too much food, followed by trifle. Everyone having a nap from overeating. Then off to feed the animals, swat the flies, and everyone off to bed early. Nothing beats a bush Christmas.

We are reminiscing about last year, fighting the floods, as this year we are close to being drought. We can see the rain-clouds over the border, but they are going the wrong way! In Australia you are always one week away from drought. Very hard to make our overseas guests realise this. However, my constant reminding - not nagging! - finally makes them realise that water is our most precious asset.

Lets hope for a good year. Still wanting tradesman from Wwoof or Helpx for renovations - any trade, all welcome. Happy and Safe travelling to all.

We wish everyone a wonderful year of the Dragon - 2012, from Heavy Rock Farm.
